Do any of you find trimming down an area speeds up work?

I find working on an area much slower with long hairs getting in the way, & I always trim down an area to work with shorter hairs. Some videos I’ve seen of you practicing electrolysis seems to indicate this is not a common practice?

It is a personal preference and irrelevant to the end result

irrelevant to the end result, but I was asking if it helps speed things up for you

Yep … trimming down is way better than foraging through a jungle. Probably faster?

Yes for some areas with dense growth I prefer a shorter trim like 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Most of the time I ask clients to just leave the hair alone and I can trim with scissors as needed.

But if we are doing long sessions I might ask them to pre trim to save us time.

They also might find trimmed hair to allow better absorption of numbing cream.

My clients sometimes forget; I have a cordless trimmer handy; a few swipes & it’s ready to go. I do need to wipe off the clippings, especially if the area has been moisturized just before
