Diathermy suitable for already pigmented skin

I am looking into different forms of electrolysis and have read that diathermy is not suitable for pigmented skin, I already have a pigmented upper lip and this is where I want the work done

Is there any truth in this as I have only read it on one website so far

If yes then which type of electrolysis would be suitable for me

Diathermy (thermolysis) is suited for every type of skin.

What Do You mean by “pigmented upper lip”? Pigment spots or permanent makeup?

The latter might be needed to be renewed after electrolysis. The former might temporarily become stronger - hyperpigmentation belongs to the standard repertoire of realing reactions, but it will fade out again.

My upper lip has gone darker as a result of threading the hair over the years, I was told that once trauma stops in the area then it will have a chance to heal

It basically looks like a moustache/5 o clock shadow but there is little hair

I read that diathermy was suitable for all skin types apart from pigmented skin
