Diagram/grid during laser?

I saw a thread earlier:

And was wondering, I’m using the APEX 800 Diode Laser and I was wondering how I would go about asking my practitioner about using a grid/diagram on my chest/abdominal area for laser. I went in for a test patch today. And I’m really starting treatments after all the sun, alcohol, and any other kind of “fun” has left me, ha ha. I’m starting treatments mid/end of September, and she advised me to come in every 5 - 6 weeks. I thought it was 6 - 8 weeks?

And how would I go about asking her to do my chest/abdomen using a chart/diagram/grid?

Thanks a lot!

Go in when the hair has grown back thick enough to respond to another treatment. No sooner. If that’s 5 weeks, then fine. It probably won’t be though, you should shed at three weeks and be bald for a number of weeks after that. Don’t plan these things in advance with a package or anything, just see how it goes and play it by ear. Don’t let her bully you into treating an area with little or fine hair growth. That’s how bad things happen, plus it’s a waste of money.

You can draw a grid yourself before the appointment if she doesn’t want to do it herself. Use a WHITE eyeliner pencil.

You shouldn’t have enough hair back yet to treat again until at least 8 weeks or so, for this area. Shedding takes 3 weeks and then you’re supposed to have a hairfree period. If there is still lots of hair growing as usual at 3 weeks, that hair was missed and should be touched up for free.
