Sometimes I wonder if I’ve had any impact on the field at all. But I suppose I did.
Back in the 1980s I visited Nemectron in Karlsruhe. At the time, Nemectron was making the “Depilatron” which was a TOTAL (electronic tweezer) fraud. I remember my discussions with Herr Nippel and Herr Meyer. I also discussed how the “blend method” worked.
A month or so later, Nemectron placed a scathing article about me in a major German “beauty” publication. They denounced me as some sort of “mole” for electrology. They also said that TECHNICALLY it was impossible to have DC and RF in the same wire … so “my blend method” was a total lie.
I just went on the Nemectron website and, what the hell, they are making their own BLEND device. Funny how things work out in the end? I wonder where Nippel and Meyer are these days?
