Derma Nude (WARNING!)

Derma Nude is a topical “hair inhibitor” sold extensively to bodybuilders and on online stores affiliated with folica.com

It is formulated like Epil-Stop: a depilatory, followed by a hair inhibitor. The depilatory works like any cream or liquid depilatory to dissolve hair above the surface.

The hair inhibitor has not been demonstrated to work in published clinical studies. The same company markets the same stuff under the name Hair No More.

Consumers should avoid these products. They have not shown they can work as claimed.

I could be mistaking, but I thought I read on www.hairfacts.com that there where clinical data supporting Derma Nude. By the way: congratulations with the nice site and the critical & sound approach of the subject.

Thanks for the kind words, Monique!

Actually, I can see how you might get that impression from my listing-- I need to reword things in my directory.

The only topical hair inhibitor that has proven it can work as claimed is the prescription drug Vaniqa. There are no published studies indicating the over-the-counter products can affect hair growth.
