Deeply Embedded Hair/Black Spots on my Face

Hi,
This is my first time in the Laser section. I was doing electrolysis before on my face; I had heavy growth due to insulin resistance. Although it was working, very slowly, I grew impatient and started doing laser. I’ve had 5 treatments with great success thus far and as well as a great and a highly noticeable improvement of my complexion.

However, I’ve come across a small problem I believe due to the laser, since I never had this before I started with my treatments. I have some black spots (a handful) that appears to look like deeply embedded hair; it’s definitely not superficial. I wonder if anyone here has had this problem and what they had done to fix this issue? Thanks for your help!

Can you take pictures? Very hard to tell from that description on what this can possibly be. Are these ingrowns? Is it pigmentation of the skin? Are they black dots, i.e. hairs stuck in the follicles? How long have you had this issue? How long has it been since your last treatment?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Honestly, it does not look like pigmentation. It’s not black dots, either. However, it looks like the ingrowns I used to have before in which I would “dig” out with a needle (a bad habit, luckily broken), but deeper and thicker. I will take pictures of two of the major ones later on today.

My last treatment was December 28. The laser technician saw the one on the left side on my face and asked “is that an ingrown?” But, I was in a hurry and so was she, so I forgot to ask at the end of the session.

They sound like they may either be ingrowns or pepper spots, although again, it is hard to tell without a picture.
Have you tried exfoliating about a week or so post laser to help lift any remaining dead hairs?

Kind regards,
Benji
