deep redness 3 weeks after electrolysis

hello everyone, i recently started hair electrolysis on my neck and i noticed that the redness is taking too long to fade. this time even three weeks after the treatment i can still see the needle marks and redness that did not fade and i’m really scared this will not go away…is this normal?

Please post the pictures as links to a photobucket.com picture link.

I have not seen your pictures, but I can tell you that you are probably doing blend, and as such, that is probably normal for your skin. Keep well hydrated, and make sure you are getting vitamin C, and zinc to aide in fast healing. Tea Tree Oil over night speeds this healing process as well.

If you smoke, you should quit, as that alone would slow the healing, and make you more likely to have healing issues, while having treatment. Every cigarette you smoke pulls out 5 oranges or more worth of vitamin C out of your system. With the average American being habitually low on vitamin C this is making bad situation worse.

I know someone who has smoked so much that this person’s gums bleed almost daily, but this person won’t quit smoking, and won’t take supplements either.

brings to mind a quote: “my people parish for lack of knowledge.”

Hi James and thank you for your reply, fortunately i’m not a smoker and i’m the anti-smoking kind of person!

i will try to increase my vitamin C intake. i also started using Solarcaine Cool Aloe, do you think this is helpful? i don’t know where to find tea tree oil, this is not something i could find in pharmacies.

please try this link to the pictures and let me know what you think:

You can order tree tea oil online. Just google it. Do you live in the United States? Try Target or Walmart.

I would use the purest aloe vera gel you can find with the least ingredients amount you can find. Lily of the Desert or Fruit of the Earth are some brands that come to mind.

hello!

i’m trying to source tee tree oil from body shops and will also look for a purest Aloe gel, i hope to succeed.

well i live in Lebanon so its a bit tough to source these products here. thank you for your advice!

I hope you succeed, too. Many over here do not fully appreciate how easy it is to go to one of many local stores of their choice and buy a product they need.
