Dectro Electrolysis DVD worth it?

Dectro has an interesting DVD on electrolysis instruction. Have any of the pros here seen this DVD and what’s your opinion on it as a learning tool? It looks very scientific (biopsy, infrared) illustrated heat patterns etc… So Dectro put in science behind their work.

What caught my eye is Dectro’s chart on time estimate per body part to complete hair removal.

Upper lip: 6-8 months, 4-6 hours

Under arm: 14-18 months 14-18 hours

Legs 18-24 months 32-40 hours

I don’t think they included men in their sample. :grin:

I’m watching the DVD slowly … mostly because it raises my blood pressure! I got to the part about “catagen hairs being impossible to treat”… and, I haven’t gone forward. Maybe I will do more tonight; but then I might not be able to sleep? I can only take so much at a time.

I think any DVD should be fully scripted with film and animation … not “ad lib.” A DVD should be produced, like a textbook, with every word and sentence meaningful and important. But then, that’s just me.

Hummm … maybe I have a different DVD than the one you are talking about? Could be?

I don’t know. There is a set of them and a brief youtube clip of it in that link. But your description of watching the DVD made me burst into laughter. Try to finish watching it and let us know if other info is “legit.” I guess the hair cycle part and what phases can be treated will never be settled in Electrolysis world.
