Few things. For one, that picture is extreme. My face looks red like that always immediately after my treatment, and lasts usually maybe 30 minutes. I find by the time I’m walking to my car from the clinic it’s gone down a lot. (Which is good since my clinic is downtown Toronto so I pass a LOT of people going to the car!) Usually they blow cold air for 5-10 minutes on it after, but I went for a touchup and they redid the whole thing. I think because they squeezed me in like that they didn’t have time to blow the air for as long. Also when I get home I always ice it but I had to give an interview to someone (imagine that, here’s the boss coming back from his laser hair removal session lol), so I didn’t get a chance to ice it.
You can go back 2-3 weeks after, my last session was around 3 weeks ago. I only went back for a touchup but we did the whole thing. If there’s hair there then it doesn’t hurt to re-treat it. You’d just want to wait minimum 2 weeks since shedding can take 2-3 weeks to complete is all.
Going to call my clinic tomorrow to find out the settings used on my face to get that reaction, I never pay attention but would be good to know.
