Hi there!
I started doing electrolysis on my face about 3 months ago (had 3 sessions and already made another post in this forum about possible overtreatment), I’d like to ask a couple of questions.
I had 3 sessions of thermolysis in total,1 on the whole face (no chin/neck) and 2 on my chin’s hairs (about 2 hours each). Is it normal that after a couple of months the hairs on the chin seems denser, darker and thicker? How is that possible?
The other thing is about insertion depth and possible tissue damage. I didn’t find much about it online or on this forum, my electrologist use high/max settings very often and said they have to insert the probe 1 cm deep in the folicle because the hairs on my face are that long. The only things I found are some posts saying the normal insertions on the face are about 2-6mm deep, is that true? If so, is it possible that a 1cm insertion could cause tissue/fat damage under the skin?
I noticed some hollowing of my cheeks after the electrolysis session on my face that doesn’t really seems to resolve after a couple of months and I’m trying to figure out if it’s correlated because it seems so. Is it possible for thermolysis to do such damage?
Thanks a lot (:
