damage to oil glands?

i know what electrolgists here will say, that electrolysis is perfectly safe to sebaceous (oil glands). then why skin gets so dry when you having electrolysis hair removal?

hi vanessa,
i’m not an electro or a dermatologist. i always assumed it was from all the witch hazel i use to keep the area clean.

fwiw, i have two friends who have had electrolysis (one of them had it like 20 years ago) and their skin is normal looking and acts normal. Considering the thousands of people who have had electrolysis since its invention so many decades ago, I think most people would know about these kinds of problems if they were permanent.
