Cynosure Apogee vs Candela Lase vs Lightsheer

Hi everyone,
My target - laser hair removal for whole legs)) and I have pretty fair skin ( I believe, type 2 ) and grey hair ( not coarse and not very thin - smth between… ) Previously have had 1 treatment with Nd YAG and 2 treatments with Candela Gentle Lase Plus… The procedures with CandelaLase was much more comfortable, painless and I can see very good result. Then I moved to a difference place where the price for CandelaLase - $950 per tr.(whole legs) that seems for me unrealistic and too expensive… But I have the YAG around here, Lightsheer and Cynosure Apogee Elite in 3 times cheaper.
As Apogee is an alexandrite laser, I believe it’s the best choice for me, but I did not find enough information about cooling system. It’s NOT as perfect as Candela Lase has ??( cryogen spray ) and probably less effective (I mean, cooling system) ? Could anyone explain me better and also share your own experience with this laser?
My another option - LightSheer, which was purchased at livigsocial promotion, but I have the same ideas about this laser - poor cooling system ( that may cause burns ) and not so good for my type of hair…
So, I do not have enough info about Apogee (is it good as CandelaLase?) and also not sure about Light sheer… What’s SAFER and BETTER choice for me?

Thanks.

If you have gray hair, none of the lasers you mentioned will be effective. The Gentlelase may do a better job on the hairs that are darker, because it uses a 3 msc pulse width. Cynosure Apogee Elite uses a 5 msc pulse width so on hair that has less pigment, a LOW PULSE width device MAY give better results.

Apogee is as good as GentleLASE (You called GentleLASE by 3 different names in your post btw lol). GentleLASE has a fixed 3ms pulse width, Apogee is adjustable so that’s the only thing. So GentleLASE can be better on fine hair because it’s forced to be used at 3ms where Apogee they can set it higher at like 20ms so they don’t burn you for example, but they’re both still alexandrites. Apogee Elite has a 15mm spot size where GentleLASE is 18mm but the new Apogee Elite MPX has 18mm as well plus newer features like a dual alex/yag mode. Either way both are excellent lasers.

GentleLASE uses cryogen spray, Apogee uses Zimmer air cooling. It basically blows a constant stream of very cold air on your skin, does pretty much the exact same thing as the cryogen spray. I find you feel no difference between the two machines so either is good. LightSheer is okay but harder to use, if you can be treated with an alex then it’s better.
