Is thermolysis effective with curved follicles? I am an African American male, and I probably have some curved follicles. The electrologist I am going to only does thermolysis.
Thermolysis is effective with curved follicles . I do however tend to recommend blend for people who are not removing large quantities of hairr and who have your skin type. The lye from blend doesnt care about follicle curvature and is excellent at loosening and destroying those large twisted follicles. I have a PCOS case with the same skin type and its sometimes a tough go to get them to release with thermolysis. It’s definitely possible to do it however the follicle straitens as you insert (picture a foot being slid into a sock, the sock conforms to the foot’s shape) .

That makes sense. I guess time will tell. If the follicle doesn’t die after repeated attempts I assume my electrologist would know that thermolysis is the best for those follicles. Thanks for the response.
