I have a clinic that is a very convenient location to me that I’ve been looking into for hair removal for my underarms and bikini. I have very light skin and the hair to be removed is very dark and coarse. This clinic uses the Cutera Coolglide and I’m wondering if that would be an effective laser for treatment or if I should look elsewhere for a GentleLASE machine.
You would probably be okay with the Coolglide. Yag’s work best on very dark and coarse hair, so the darker and coarser it is the better. You may want to eventually switch to an alexandrite to target the finer hairs but you should still see okay results with this.
It will work well on the very coarse hair, if the settings are good. Alex would give better results after the initial 2-3 treatments.
