considering lazer hair removal....

Hi…

I’m an 18 year old guy with a considerable hair problem. @_@

Ugh, but I’m really thinking hard about lazer hair removal. I live in Dallas and they have smooth solutions here so I was going to go in for a consultation soon.

I want to get my face done first, but I just read a thread on here with pictures of this womans HORRIBLY burned face and now I’m scared. Maybe I should get my ass done first to be safe?

I really want to get my face done, though, because even when I shave my moushtash, you can still see it. It’s annoying.

Someone talk to me.

I live in Dallas, and use Smooth Solutions myself (the one in University Park.) Trust me, they won’t burn you. They’re very well trained.

What kind of skin do you have? Also, I should warn you that it’s very difficult to remove beard hair with laser. At 18, you’re also going to keep on growing hair, under the influence of testosterone, for some time.

Anyway, I recomment Smooth Solutions for laser. If you need electrolysis, I can give you a name and number for that too (which I think is often a better choice in the beard area.) Good luck!

you’re still very young and will be developing hair for a number of years still. just remember that when you start as you will need treatments over a rather long period of time as new hair grows in.

a male face is hard to treat with laser. you might be happy with a few treatments for a general reduction of hair rather than full removal which will make it much easier to shave etc. the trick with that is finding someone who knows what they’re doing as it’s important to treat that area carefully and not miss areas to avoid patchiness.

yes, i would start on another area that bothers you most. also, you didn’t mention your skin and hair type. we can’t even tell you if you’re good candidate.

please read the faqs before you start this process:

btw, that picture does NOT show burns from HAIR REMOVAL. and this is not something that can easily happen with any laser treatment. the technician has to be completely blind and incompetent as you would see the skin burning as you apply the machine. plus, you’re not supposed to treat a tanned area.

all you will get is disgusting patchiness that will take years to go away. use a search engine for “beard” “laser hair removal” and “patchy.”

someone will reply that other men have gotten complete hair removal. this isn’t true. are you willing to risk disgusting patchiness? just grow a beard. wish i did.

I’m going to reply that we’ve treated “other men” and have gotten complete hair removal.

So how do you know that that isn’t true?
