confused about laser vs waxing

If waxing pulls the hair out from the root and the hair follicle regenerates the hair to return then how is laser destroying the hair permanently if it targets the hair pigment and not the follicle. Does any know if the follicle itself gets destroyed? and how? Thanks

Short answer is… The folicle is burned up alone with the hair so it damages it. Hopefully preventing hair growing back. I’m sure someone could give you a better answer than that… Or look on www.hairfacts.com

I found my answer on hairfacts, thanks.

Light at a specified wavelength is delivered from a handpiece into the skin, where it targets dark material (usually the pigment in hair).

This is intended to cause thermal and/or mechanical damage to a hair follicle while sparing surrounding tissues.
