I performed an initial consultation for a client which has recently undergone gastric bypass and was wishing aggressive hair removal. Wishing to get as much done as possible while home recovering from surgery.
Are my concerns valid concerning possible hydration problems considering the smallness of their new stomach. 64 oz of liquid is recommended by their doctors, but I know that is difficult for many as they can only drink a small amount at a time. I am concerned to aggressive a treatment could cause potmarks etc. I am wondering what other electrologist believe.
Hi Martha,
I have seen many clients who have undergone gastric bypass and I work on them the same way I did prior to their surgery however I ask them to apply a topical hyaluronic as follows:
AM: cleanse, tone, apply hyaluronic acid, apply your moisturizer, apply sunscreen
PM: cleanse, tone, apply hyaluronic acid, apply your moisturizer - do not use any sunscreen products
Hyaluronic Acid is expensive. Should anyone have a difficult time finding it for a reasonable price, feel free to email @ [email protected]
