Hi all,
I was wondering is Comet Diode/RF by Syneron an IPL or true Laser. Did any of you guys had any experience with this machine.
I have light skin (II) and dark hair, so they told me I am a good candidate, and will have good results. Thanks
it’s a combination of diode and RF. since RF is useless, it really takes away from effectiveness of the diode. everyone who tried it here didn’t have great results. i would look for another machine. you should start with machine and then look for clinic that uses that type instead of the other way around. also, run a search for your city to see previous recommendations.
Thanks for your reply. They offer me very good package price for the Comet, and was hoping to read something positive. But I’ll not waste any money and time on it. I’ve scheduled an appointment tomorrow with a doctor who uses GentleLASE by Candela.
Thanks once again,
Adrian
i wouldn’t buy a package up front unless it’s for a small area where it wouldn’t cost more than $500-800. If you find out they’re bad after you start, you won’t be wasting that much money.
what area are you looking to treat and what do you consider a good deal? how many places did you visit to compare to determine what is a good deal in your area?
also, please add location to your profile. thanks.
I am currently in Cyprus. I visited most of the places in the city where I am, but the choice it’s really limited here. I found only one place so far that uses GentleLASE. With the Comet they offered me $200 for chest and abs /per treatment, if I buy package of 6, which is really really cheap (They have 50% OFF till end of August). But better to pay more, and use more “proven” laser. It’s too bad that on http://www.candelalaser.com/ you can search only the practitioners in the US.
Best Regards,
Adrian
you can try emailing, but yes, it’s harder outside of the US. You can try contacting this site in the UK for possible recommendations since it’s a bit closer to you: GentleLASE Alexandrite in the UK:
http://www.crosstechplc.co.uk
and yes, I would prefer to pay more to have less treatments overall and better results. what is the price difference? try to see if they will match the competitor’s offer too. also, do ask what settings they’re planning to use on you so you know they will be aggressive enough to get you results.
