Hi!
I have a question (sorry if it was asked before): why do so many (beauty) clinics that offer laser hair removal also offer plastic surgeries? Do you think that that makes a clinic less trustworthy? Can no clinic support itself only on permanent hair removal/reduction and other non-surgical treatments?
I mean, if I wanted to have a plastic surgery, I wouldn’t go to any of the clinics I went to ask about laser hair removal. I would go to see certified specialist surgeons, some of whom you could find in public hospitals and who would even operate you for free. And you would receive first quality treatment, by the way. (Personal example: my brother has had a nose surgery.)
You cannot be a specialist in dermatology, laser hair removal, plastic surgery (ranging from nose to breast surgery), odontology, hair implants, etc, can you? OK, you could have specialists on any of those areas working for you in your clinic, but I have a feeling that you wouldn’t find the best surgeons there.
Do you distrust (beauty) clinics that offer lots of completely different kinds of treatments? I distrust them when they offer surgeries and I cannot find the clinic’s physician/surgeon’s name on the National Academy of Specialist Surgeons’ list (even though I am not planning on having any surgery, my brother’s surgeon was on the list). It makes me feel that such a clinic is not trustworthy. Or is it? Do you think that I’m exaggerating? That I shouldn’t feel that way? Could such clinics have the best practitioners/doctors in LHR even though they may not have the best surgeons?
There are two ways to approach laser hair removal.
As what you do and you focus on it. I believe, that of all the types of cosmetic procedures, laser hair removal is the most difficult. It takes effort and work to be good. And by the way, electrolysis is up there also.
Why do I say it is so difficult. First, the target is deep in the skin. Second it is pesky, and third, if I remove half of the wrinkles of a patient, that patient will be ecstatic. But if I only remove half the hair, she will be upset.
As an additional service you provide to increase sales. The hope being that you do well enough to make some money and not have too many upset clients.
completely agree with sslhr. choose a clinic that is trying to provide you with the best service in something they specialize in rather than trying to cash in on anything and everything.
When I first went to my electrologist/laser technician they were located in a plastic surgery clinic. They were actually independent from the clinic but renting some rooms off of him.
It is not inconceivable that people who are interested in plastic surgery might also be interested in hair removal, so in some ways it was a good fit.
I think there is probably a good profit margin in laser, so I can see why some plastic surgery clinics would offer it, but I don't think the plastic surgeon themselves would be doing laser.
Their time is simply too valuable, and they make a lot more doing surgery.
I agree, that is why I had my treatments done at Ideal Image. All they do is Laser Hair removal are determined to be the best at it. Check and see if they are in your area. I had great results.
Ideal Image uses good machines, but all clinics are not the same. What matters is each specific clinic’s management and technicians. Also, they’re usually more expensive than some competitors. Just something to consider.
As one of Ideal Image’s competitors, I am quite knowledgeable about how they operate. Or at least how they operate in centers that are in direct competition to my own. I give them props for using the alexandrite lasers. But I have serious issues about them being “determined to be the best at it.” From what I have seen, they are more interested in selling packages that providing the treatments.
But maybe I’m wrong. What were these studies they were doing?
