Checking out laser practitioners-?'s about cost

I am going to be checking out several laser hair removal places in my area (Milwaukee) over the next few days. I want to have some hair removed from my back and shoulders. I think I’m a good candidate, I have fair skin and the hair is black. The back hair covers maybe 20% of my back at the most, it isn’t real thick but it is definitely noticeable. On my shoulders, it is pretty sparse, just the occasional hair here and there, but it is enough to bother me! My question is about the cost, I have no clue as to what this should cost and I’m looking for a little guidance. I’ve seen vague estimates of $500-$900 for a full back, per session, but at other times I have seen it advertised for much less. Plus, I don’t have nearly as much hair to remove as some guys do, does this make a difference? (There are large areas of my back with no dark hair, so they could skip probably 70-80% of my back altogether) Obviously, I know that you usually get what you pay for, I’m not necessarily looking for just the cheapest place. These are all reputable places that have been in business for a while, but again I have no idea what it should cost. Also, since it sounds like multiple sessions are usually needed, what kind of discount should I look for if I’d buy more than one session upfront? I’d appreciate ANY guidance that can be given! Also, if there is anyone out there that has a recommendation for a clinic in the Milwaukee area, I’d appreciate that as well. Thanks!

Hey bigdavve, if I may add my two cents, part of your research should include determining the type of laser or lasers each LHR facility offers. This forum is extremely helpful and first and foremost you want to make sure that the best piece of laser equipment is used. If not, you will spend alot more money than necessary. My personal experiences have taught me an expensive lesson. What I thought was a laser was IPL which is not nearly as good. Luckily, via this forum, I met Chris from R&J. The laser equipment his office uses is top notch. What he can deliver in 6-8 sessions other places cannot match with 3 years worth of treatments. Good luck with your search!

Only if you were at Dallas I can recommend you to the place where I usually went for laser hair removal. but anyways good luck, hope you find the suitable company to deal with~

Are you an employee of this laser center or do you have a financial interest in this particular center. I noticed you just registered today and have put this laser center in your signature. If you want to promote your center, just come out and say so and convince people why you think you can help them.

You mentioned in another thread that your hair came back years later. What type of laser or IPL were you treated with? How old are you?
