My average for a man’s back and shoulders is, for the first clearance, 40 hours. Then half, and half. My recent client went through a 2-year program of laser hair removal from his back and shoulders (8 treatments with Alex). "The hair grew back.’ He waited 2 years to have electrolysis.
His first clearance with me only took 35 hours (so he saved 5 hours?). His second clearance, just completed, took only 15 hours (it should have been 20). Virtually 90% of the hairs in both clearances were in telogen … a consistent observation on my part.
I don’t think the guy will need much more work … maybe 5 hours to get the "stray hairs.’ So, let’s crunch the numbers.
If he had only done electrolysis, I would say he would have needed 70 hours for his TTT. With laser, those hours were reduced and he will be finished in about 55 hours. So, he saved 15 hours on his electrolysis TTT.
Was it worth it? Was 2-years of laser (8 treatments) worth the 15 hours he saved on electrolysis? Indeed, that is a saving of $1,200 (electrolysis) … but the laser wasn’t free either … so, there it is and YES this is only one case study.
