Carol L. Clinton, M.D. (timeless skin solutions)?

Has anyone ever used her services? She is in OHio…
I’m thinking about calling her. I don’t know what questions to ask , or if she’s any good

Read the FAQs for question ideas.

What are you looking for? Where in Ohio? What is your skin and hair type? You didn’t provide any information, so it’s impossible to help you.

And do please read the FAQs at the link below.

I live in columbus, 43229 zipcode. I read the links you gave me, and Learned alot…
I’m not totally sure of my skin type but I think it’s type I. I burn and freckle very easily, have very pale skin, and black hair. My hair issues on my legs is that the hair is very dark and I shave everyday but I can still see the follicles. My other hair issues are some very light brown on my cheeks and some darker on the sides of my face. Also a “happy trail” that I really really hate that is dark brown, and then some light brown hairs all over my stomach… I know that I should do the electrology on my face, but as for the tummy, do you think I should try the laser instead? Would it be quicker/cheaper?

Do you know of anyone who’s experienced/good machines and low prices in columbus?

Also, how can I prevent any scarring or ingrowns?

Thanks!!

Also, can I shave after the laser treatments? I dont want to wait for the hair to fall out for 3 weeks and look at it every day

Feel free to shave, its a great way to maintain between sessions!

For the stomach area the hair really should be dark and thick (like underarm hair) or else it wont really respond to laser.

I like to pull the hairs out lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Shave all you want, it’s totally fine. But be warned: The crispy, charred hairs may be hard to get a close shave with. Whenever I shave my legs after a session, it looks like perpetual 2-day stubble.

What kind of machines do you recommend that would be best for me? and what about the jules…

and how long does the crispy charred hair stay there?

An alex laser (like the GentleLASE) is ideal for you. It will work wonderfully on your legs, but you probably won’t get great results on your tummy if it’s not very coarse. You can post a photo and we can tell you for sure. Definitely don’t do your face, it is a smart choice to go with electrolysis there!

Timeless Skin Solutions is in Columbus (the suburb of Dublin to be exact). I get their e-mail almost weekly. I know one of my clients had work done at timeless, but I am thinking hard to remember just who it was. If anything negative had happened, I would remember. Since nothing is jumping out at me, I am assuming that it would be worth your effort to go check them out. Yes, do read the Laser FAQ’s that LAgirl wrote before you go to any consultation. In fact, get a hard copy for yourself and refer to it as needed.

Edit: Just figured out who was happy at timeless. It was my oldest daughter of all people. She did not have laser hair reduction done, but had some facial laser and was very pleased. She said it’s a spa-like business, very clean and the employees were very friendly. If that part means a lot to you, I’d give them a try just for those known factors alone.

You need electrolysis for your face. For your stomach, you will also need electrolysis. Laser only works on dark coarse hair like your legs or underarms or bikini line. Some women have coarse enough hair on their happy trail, just in the middle. The clinic may even zap that part for free with your leg treatments if you ask. But make sure they don’t touch any areas with finer hair as it can make the hair worse.

You need an alexandrite laser like GentleLASE or Apogee. Click the third link below where I outline how to find a clinic near you and what to ask at the free consultations.

And of course, doesn’t hurt to check out the clinic Dee recommended above too.

Thanks everybody!
