Good question, I’m glad you asked!
This sounds like the old “Thermolyse” quackery. Thermolyse, the very first laser to hit the market, had the technician shave the hair and then rub a carbon (oil based) dye “deep into the follicles.” Yeah right … the dye was supposed to penetrate the follicle. It doesn’t happen!
You are not going to able to get any of that stuff into the follicle where it needs to be (okay maybe into the infundibulum). The laser has to affect the lower follicle. Dying the upper hair, or getting stuff in the follicle opening, is a silly idea.
The follicle (and “sweat pore”) is not an open hole waiting to suck up carbon-based creams … or anything else for that matter. Think about this: which “molecule” is bigger: a carbon (and oil) “molecule,” or a water molecule? And thus, which is more likely to fill-up the follicle? Furthermore, which is more likely to be absorbed by the skin, oil (carbon), or water?
Now, ask yourself … did you have to “DRAIN” your follicles the last time you went swimming? (Actually the outer epidermis does absorb water. Look at your fingers the next time you take a long bath.)
