Where I live, the electrologysts are not willing to work on body hair because they say it’s time consuming and expensive. They only work on facial and underarm hair, they laser other areas.
But, I have fine hair on my stomach, chest and shoulders.
I don’t know what to do about these hairs, should I just buy a machine and remove them myself?!
There’s also the butt hair, which is dark, but there are some fine ones on the outer part.
I’m afraid laser wouldn’t remove them completly or maybe make them worse.
Where are you located?[quote=“Nitaxh, post:1, topic:53338, full:true”]

Europe.
Sadly I don’t know anyone off hand in Europe to refer you to. I would check electrology associations and schools and see if maybe they can point you in the direction of someone who would work on those areas.
Beate Ritzert, Manheim Germany
Mairi Hawkes…Scotland
Josepha Reina…Malaga Spain
Adrien Sanchiz, Malga Spain
and many many more.
Too far away.
Can’t afford to go in another country.
unfortunately you havent been more specific than “europe” . All these practtioners and more are in europe. If you re more specific then I may be able to suggest someone, or not, as my knowledge of european electrologists isnt as thorough as it is in other places.
If the hair is darker check with a laser specialist. They will give you an educated answer on if laser will work for you. Laser is great for large areas and is more cost effective, if your are even a candidate for laser. Ask about a test spot and see how your skin reacts. Fine hair is present and normal for all body parts. How ever there are certain medical conditions and drugs that can make it worse. Consult with your doctor and tell them your concerns. I work with a lot of clients who also get laser to remove the hair that laser doesn’t remove.Good luck on finding and electrologist

I have dark thick hair on legs and arms .
But I have thin hair in my stomach, inner arms and chest.
Thank you for these recommendations, Seana! I am in the Netherlands and I have the same problem as the poster of this thread, electrologists that are only willing to work on the face, for light hairs only.
Do you also happen to know what is the current state with corona? Are most electrologists still closed for the time being?
I really dont, and most of what I do hear I hear through UK based groups of electrologists. Some are open, others not, and it depends entirely on the outbreak in their area. Here n Ottawa Canada for example we are only doing work that doesnt involve taking off the clients mask so yes a lot of body work. If some places they are entirely shut down, in others its business as usual
Honestly if an electrologist is unwilling to do body work they may not be in business long with prohibitions on facial work making that work impossible.
i myself face the forced closure of my business in the short term ( it’s already happening somewhat) but if that should happen, we will reappear in a new location once it’s safe to do so.
