I am looking for somebody who can do blend or flash thermolysis for under $60/hr. I live in downtown LA. I am looking for somebody with flexible timing. Thanks!
I’d recomment Dr. Gary Ramelli’s staff in Long Beach — if you have tons of hair. They also have local anesthetic available. It’s nice to go totally painless. Don’t know about the fees.
I want Paula Abdul to have my love child, but I got just a little less chance of getting that than you have of finding sub $60 per hour work in LA by anyone with a California License. Anyone else, would not be advertising, because in that case, that person would not have a California License!
It would not be easy to find work below $60 per hour anywhere in the US. (Besides, dollars per hour is meaningless, it is how many hairs per dollar that counts.)
That price is relatively low for LA, though you can find it, especially if you’re willing to pay up front for multiple treatments. Try Sabrena Smith in Hollywood or Robin Harris in West LA.
Your concern should be getting GOOD treatments. Slightly cheaper bad treatments are not going to save you money in the long run. Plus, good electrologists remove more hair per hour.
Robin doesn’t take up-front package deals anymore. I’ve tried. She’s $70 an hour and worth every penny.
Laura Crawford in Venice was $54 an hour about a year ago, although I didn’t wind up going with her. Ancient machine, decent treatment.
Mary Albrecht was $40 an hour because she had $0 rent–worked out of her home. That was a great arrangement while it lasted, but she passed away.
Oh, and if you go to Robin, please tell her I sent you her way. She knocks some $$ off my next treatment, possibly more if you really are a Persian Gorilla.
Tina Reynolds does package deals. I’ve had most of my treatments with her and it was significantly cheaper than her regular hour rate. She’s slower than Robin, but her hours are more flexible.
I suggest you check out a few of these and make a decision then.
