Can skin just be too sensitive for electrolysis?

I’ve had electrolysis done on my face a number of times in the past, each time from a different electrolysis. Everyone came highly recommended. I’ve done both thermolysis and blend. However, each time I have ended up with marks that appear to be permanent. I say permanent because I still have marks from over three years ago.

Can some skin just not handle electrolysis?

Also, would using an extremely fine needle reduce the chance of marks?

What do the marks look like?

Can you take a QUALITY picture and post it here?

An extremely fine needle would not reduce the chance of marks.

Did you have severe scabbing and oozing after your sessions?

All skin can handle electrolysis. This is a process that requires skill and IN MY OPINION, quality equipment or a good set up, if you will.

I had electrolysis done to most of my face, neck and underarms.

Sadly, I am now experiencing redness and some tightness on my face when I smile.

I do NOT look ugly, but I need to find a way to get Rid Of The Redness and go back to my Original White Skin Color.

I am willing to do just about anything to fix this problem.

Does anybody know if any kind of Laser Machines can Help Correct this problem?

Currently, I am seeing a Dermatologist and they gave me some kind of pill to take for five days and some special liquid to put on my face for 10 minutes at a time to let the liquid sit there and doing this three times per day which is a hell of a job.

In any case, I am willing to seek out any good advice and tips from anybody who knows about what I am going through and Yes, I can send you pictures if you want to see what my face looks like.

I have been told I have extremely sensitive skin. My electrologist (I am doing) Said she was very surprised to see that reaction after the amount of energy she used and for that long afterwards. You can see from the photos how my skin blows up after each treatment and the size of the scabs. I’ve done some research and it seems like something called blanching is happening as well, which I think is the skin itself just being burned. The woman I go to is reputable and there are no reports of such things happening with her other clients.
I want to continue getting work done but I’m afraid I’m just going to make the pitting scars I now have worse.

Am I crazy to go back to this person?

that actually all looks very good. Some minor scabbing can and often does happen. This is just normal healing.

Your practitioner did a great job. Do you not expect some natural inflammation response in order for your body to heal?

Please go back to your temporary methods if this unacceptable to you. I am not concerned about what I see. Discuss this with your electrologist, as well.

Really? Is it just because I have sensitive skin? I’ve seen posts by people like Josefa where people have had reactions like mine with previous electrologists but with HER treatments, the skin looks normal after and there’s no scabbing or bumps.

I of course expect her to be some sign that a wound has taken place. I’m just worried about the pitting most of all wondering if blend might be a better bet for someone with terminal hairs?

I think Dee put it very well. As I said, there is nothing of concern here. No your skin is not overly sensative and there is zero chance of pitting from the treatment evidenced here. The only thing that needs fixing, honestly, is your reaction to what you re seeing. . Timing of pictures is very important. When you look at the immediate post treatment pictures, these are taken almost right after treatments. but inflamation comes in the hours afterwards, and scabbing after that. There is NOTHING to worry about!
