Can I get rid off belly hair completely? (Photos)

Hey all
I decided to go with laser hair removal option for unwanted hair above my beard line. I’m done with tweezing and waxing. I hate even when I think about them. I’m a male and gonna be 22 yo within a few months. I’m from Balkans originally but I live in Turkey so as you can imagine I don’t really trust people in this sector. I’ve found a nice, clever and honest aesthetician in my zone
First laser session was done before 14 days ago and yesterday I pulled them off gently. An army has fallen maybe one hundred ahahahaa but 16 days left until next session. Will they grow back in 2 weeks or does it take longer than that? I know some are gone for good (go to hell you b!)
The machine she was using is called Cynosure, uses Alexandrite. She hit me at 14J for the 1st session. I didn’t feel that much pain and my sensitive skin reacted good. What do you think about it? Laser treatment on face. Am I doing wrong? I don’t know what is wrong with me. My relatives and family members are hairless but I’m becoming a wolfman :frowning:

Now I’m thinking about getting my belly lasered because I hate how it looks under that hair layer and laser is the only way to go. My skin is pale and hair is dark but I wanna know if I can get those thinner (compared to hair around my belly button) hair on sides of my belly. I’m okay with chest hair. It looks sublime:grin: but I wanna see my belly hair free. Thanks for answers. Have a perfect day!
Including beard

14J on what spot size? Your skin type should be able to handle 18 joules on 18mm spot. Based on your pic, you will get some reduction on stomach but don’t expect good results because a lot of your hair is thin an not too dense. At some point you will need to transition into electrolysis if you want 100% hair removal on your stomach. For body hair, you should be clear about 3 weeks after your hair sheds and then new cycle starts growing in. Facial hair grows in faster.

Thanks for answer. 14J on cheeks (My beard line is shorter than it used to be). More close to jaw line. I didn’t ask the spot size. I’ll keep it in mind and ask it next time. Ohh I see  stomach hair is much thinner compared to the ones above my beard line and beard. Guess we both know how much does 14J hurt. Is electrolysis more painful than laser? and as far as I know electrolysis targets hair follicles individually not as a group. It means each one will be a new pain for me  I should watch a video of it. Just wanna make it clear. Are you saying those thin hair on sides of my stomach won’t get destroyed  not at all? I think it’ll look messy, patchy and even worse in that way. Even with %60 reduction I’ll have to shave that area and I hate that plucked chicken look on my skin

18 joules on face maybe too much. I was focusing on body treatment, not the face.
Yes, you will not get any results on the sides of the stomach because the hair is not dense or thick. You will get some reduction in middle section of the stomach but you will still have hair in the center.
Electrolysis pain is different and I don’t think it hurts more than laser. Stomach area especially the sides are very sensitive. So I’d suggest using icing and insulated needles for electrolysis. When I had laser treatments, I used numbing cream on 6 of my 8 treatments.

so basically laser would be useless to try :frowning: It offers an ‘‘all together destruction’’. That’s what I like about it. I’ve just watched a video about electrolysis. It looks scary. I didn’t use anything at all. I washed my already clean face and went there. It didn’t hurt that much but heat feeling in my cheeks was bad. I used a cream she recommended, called nerisona c. I have to do some research on electrolysis. I mean each hair individually? There is an army…

Discuss the situation with your laser technician. What do they tell you about the results you should expect?

I had electrolysis for several years now on different areas. What is scary about electrolysis to you? Ask your concerns and we can help educate. My advice is to start in small area and when you start seeing good results, you can trust that electrologist to do treatments on other areas. Even though electrolysis works on all types of hair and guarantees 100% removal, there are poorly skilled electrologists out there who take ages zapping same areas for dozens of times until you get anywhere, so you have to have that in mind when you search for skilled electrologist. See examples of good electrolysis work.

IMO 14j even with 18mm won’t be effective. 16jx18mm could be a reasonable setting, the best would be 18x18mm or 16/18j x20mm but the last setting is available only on the newest machines.
Talk to your doctor, ask to get to 16jx18 or 18jx18j for some reason: It’s your money, low setting is a waste of time and money.
