Camping Anyone?

Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum.

I’m not one to dwell on the negatives of a problem, but I thought this topic might be useful in searching for practical solutions.

A quick description of my situation:
I have a morning ritual to remove visible excess hair. I shave some facial hair, pluck my eyebrows and even shave the back of my hands. I have been doing this for about 10 years. I am 24, and have not found a more practical/quick solution that fits my lifestyle better.

The only major issue with doing this is that I must always be near a mirror and sink in a private area in the mornings to do this.

I am a very adventurous person by nature so one of my dreams is to go treking/camping and exploring the wilderness, but yes you guessed it - the hair removal ritual every morning will be near impossible.

Has anyone got an ideas on how I could cope with camping-style adventures, or is this something I should put up with not being able to do unless I permanently remove the hair in question?

What about getting it waxed? A temporary solution, but it will last for a number of weeks. Weeks that you don’t have to spend in front of a mirror.

Unfortunately that would involve me growing my facial hair for a few days (and since I am out every single day I find this impossible as I am embarrassed of the hair). And still waxing misses a few hairs so I would still end up spending a similar amount of time in front of the mirror re-plucking all the missed hairs.

I am going by the experience of waxing my legs: it only removed about 80% of the hairs so I still had to shave the rest off.

Would a pro waxer be able to remove more??

Thanks for the reply jme.

I’d take a determined stance and find a skilled electrologist. Cut to the chase and go get electrolysis after you study these discussion boards for a good bit. You don’t have to live this way anymore. Free yourself from this daily burden as soon as possible so you can go on any outdoor adventure you want, anytime you desire.

I wouldn’t get my face waxed…I was talking other areas. A skilled person that has done it a number of years can remove it all pretty well.

Even if you decide to go the electrolysis route, many electrologist will work on a certain area and wax areas they aren’t working on to keep you hair free.

Good idea, thankyou jme and dfahey.

(Wow its so refreshing to be able to talk to someone about this other than my reflection!)
