Bumps/redness on buttock after almost 2 years HELP

So about 2 years ago I went to try electrolysis on my abnormally hairy ass. I did about 5 sessions and stopped because the pain and irritation I was experiencing wasn’t worth it to me. For about a year I tried being patient because I figured the irritation would go away, and most of it did but not all. So at that point I started trying some topical solutions like tendskin, witch hazel, neosporin, etc. and nothing has worked. I dont feel any itching or pain, but the thing that’s troubling is that the bumps/spots I’m left with have changed very little in appearance in almost 2 years. They haven’t gotten any smaller and the redness hasnt faded at all after TWO friggin years. I don’t really know what to do and it’s kind of pissing me off at this point. I really would rather avoid seeing a doctor for this if it’s possible. I don’t even care about getting rid of the hair anymore I just wanna get rid of this shiet. I’d appreciate any advice from any of you. Thanks.

After 2-years (electrolysis) what you are presenting is not being caused by past electrolysis. Looks like the area is being shaved (note blunt cut off hairs) and therefore causing irritation and ingrown hairs. (I also see ingrown hairs too from the electrolysis? … but this is too long for normal angiogenesis (red patches) to not resolve; and it has resolved.)

I would recommend no shaving and no products … it’s going to take time to resolve.

Absolutely agree. These lesions are recent. They are not caused by electrolysis.

I appreciate the quick responses but these marks are most definitely not recent. I have been seeing them in the mirror for almost 2 years now. In the last few months I have used a trimmer with an attachment to trim the hair slightly so that it would be easier to apply medications, but I haven’t shaved because of the irritation. I have no reason to be misleading, I am looking for a solution. I’ve had these lesions for 2 years and they were a result of the electrolysis.

How much time do you spend sitting?

During the week I spend around 5 hours a day sitting when I am in school. Besides that I am usually on my feet at work, and I am usually active during my free time so I don’t spend much time sitting outside of school.

I would say it’s “doctor time” because none of us will be able to offer you a solution. The products you are using are antagonists; so I’d like to see some medical directive before recommending anything. One good thing: it’s not your face!
