Just had my second treatment done and in two places it looks like I have what appear to be small bruises. Just wondering if this is normal?
What area is being treated? Refresh us, please.
Are you taking aspirin or any medications that thin the blood?
If insertions are not perfect, then bruising can occur. Does she wear magnification? Good light source, LED or halogen. What size probe?
It’s on the upper arms. The bruises are small. Halogen lighting. No aspirin etc. Not exactly sure the size of the probe but she said it was bigger than what she normally uses because I have coarse hair. Yes she uses magnification also. She has been doing electrolysis for 20+ years, so I think it was just the fact that upper arms is a hard area to treat.
Upper arms is not a hard area to treat with electrolysis. Not any harder than any other area. Bruising should not be happening. Just because someone has been doing it for 20+ years doesn’t mean they’ve been doing good work unfortunately.
How many electrologists did you try before settling on this one? What machine does she use? What method?
I actually think things are well for you. A few small bruises may be a one time occurence. Just observe how subsequent treatments go for your upper arms and do ask her what’s going on if you see this happening too much.
I do like bigger probes for this area and it appears she does too, but maybe she needs to focus more on her insertions if this is a continuing problem. Please tell her about your concerns. I don’t think she will bite you.
