What causes the skin to breakout when using an epilator. Specifically I’m referring to the bikini area. I can handle the red bumps the night of and next day, but 4 or 5 days later and I’m seeing PIMPLES. White heads.
What can I do to prevent this?
Working clean will reduce this. Take a shower before treatment. Dry the area. Apply Tend Skin or witch hazel. Let dry. Epilate. Apply more after. Once it’s dry, you might add a medicated powder like Gold Bond.
After the redness goes away, continue using Tend skin or witch hazel, and exfoliate a lot in the shower. Some people find an antibiotic a day or two after treatment can help, too.
