brazilian

i’m having my first brazilian done with gentlelase in a couple of weeks, and I was just wondering (for those of you who have had it done) how um, in depth does the technician usually go? I mean I’d like to be as hairless as possible, I’m just curious how much area does a brazilian typically cover? front and back or just front?

oh and do you usually see any difference after just one treatment? my skin is very fair and i have extremely thick, coarse black hair

thank you=)

You have to talk to your technician. Everyone is different. People want different things. You need to explain to them what you want.

All treated hair will fall out after the treatment. So in that sense, you see a difference for about 6 weeks. Then new set of hair grows in. You see the biggest difference after 3-4 treatments when a lot less hair grows in.

ideally i’d want all of it gone. i was just curious about the average brazilian and how much skin it entails so i can kind of judge when i talk to her.

i had my legs treated 4 times already, and a lot of the hair tends to stick in my skin. even after treatments some of it doesn’t burn off. does this typically happen in the brazillian region? i’ve heard that it happens sometimes to peoples arms and legs, and i’m just nervous to have that particular area looking spotty and red and full of ingrowns…

brazilian has various definitions. there isn’t one specific way everyone likes it. some people leave a little, some take everything off. you need to talk to them about it as their definition may be different from yours anyway in the way you call it.

Pepperspots are common on finer hair on an area like the legs. It doesn’t really happen on the bikini area. That hair is usually very coarse and sheds well. Don’t expect 100% removal though. Some parts of the labia area hard to treat and can be darker and hard to get to, and in general, hair gets finer after some treatments and harder to treat. As you probably already know, you’ll likely be able to get 90-95% removal, but you’ll still have some finer hair left after you’re done that will need electrolysis or just shaving.

Full brazilian is all of the hair. This is not taboo, so discuss your expectations openly with your practitioner.

“full” brazilian may mean all of the hair to most. however, just the word “brazilian” can mean many things to different people, i.e. various shapes and parts left untouched, however small.

ok, i see.
thank you very much, i found it very informitive =)

one more thing though how do i get rid of the pepperspots? theyve been present for like 3 months now

They should get burned off at future treatments. Exfoliating is one way to help them out. Generally, if you squeeze them, they should come out without issues, but that may cause some scarring.

A product like Tend Skin can help the body remove them without risk of scarring.
