braun vs emjoi

i’ve been shaving for years and am thinking of getting an epilator. i have just read through loads of the posts on this site and there seem to be 2 main winners in the ‘best epilator’ raings: the braun silk epil eversoft, and the emjoi optima.

could anyone give me a comparison of the two, pros and cons…?

any advice greatly appreciated

[color:“blue”] [/color] I’ve been using a Epilator for many years. I tried a Remington and Phillips before and neither worked well except for the pain.
Some years latter I was imformed about the Emjoi Optima and once I tied it I was hooked and been there ever since.
I don’t know of a direct comparasion between the Braun and Emjoi other then one has duel rotaries.
Both are major manfuactures of rotaries and quality is assured, however, I do believe that the Optima has the edge in decidated users right now.
Now the advantages of using a rotary epilator over shaving is a whole different story.

the more research i do, the more confused i get!!!

there seem to be so many braun silk epil eversoft models, can anyone recommend a particular one?

the braun seems to cost about half the price of the optima, is the optima really worth the extra expense?

feeling frazzled!

Understandable, the decision to start using a Epilator can be confusing but at some time you will have to go with you gut feeling.

I went with the Optima and am glad I did and to me it was worth the extra cost. The features I liked are duel rotaries(easy to use in two directions per glide so as to get even the fine hairs and since all hairs grow in somewhat different directions), strong motor yet quiet, removes even fine hairs as soon as it reaches 1mm long and above all the safety works and any one who has accidently got their skin caught can verify and can say happily say “glad it did”.
