Bodybuilder, Annoyed of Razors

Are there any machines that give a really close trim, close enough to getaway from the razor shaving? I do shave my entire body, and I do so in the shower. I know of some machines being waterproof as well.

Can anyone recommend something that saves me the hassel of a razor?

Thanks guys/ladies. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi johnnyb

One can get clippers that are waterproof and remove the clipper heads completely, but I think this will lead to a lot of nicks and cuts. Waterproof electric razors are pretty quick in the shower if you use a good soap as a lubricant - maybe you can try this.

Check out the Panasonic foil wet/dry at the Sharper Image. For me the foils on the Panasonic do not last as long as the Braun.

The Braun has been the best electric for body shaving for me. If you want to try a rotary the Norelco Speed XL 8140 is only $76 at Walmart. It did a very good job on my beard. Neither the Braun nor Norelco are waterproof. But Norelco does make a waterproof rotarty called Coolskin.

For the best shave yet, try the Fusion Power, but it is still a blade but it is fast and gives a closer shave than anything else.

How dark is your skin? You might consider laser hair removal. I am shaving much less since having laser treatments. My chest is hair free (finished last 5% with electrolysis) and my back is 95% hair free. I’m working on my legs now with laser and IPL. Something to consider.

Panasonic foil wet/dry, hm. The tips don’t look like they were made for bodyhairs? I do love the design though.

Has anyone used this to trim body hair?

Thanks for the replies thus far guys.

The Panasonic shaves very close and can be used wet. But I found the screen not to hold up very well under heavy use. And it gets noisy after a few weeks. And replacement foils are very expesive, about $50 IIRC.

They do have a 30 day trial period, 60 days if you get the deluxe model from Sharper Image.

BTW, if you buy an electric shaver from Amazon.com they do not take returns. But you can return shavers to most manufacturers.
