Blood Test

Hello,

I’m 28 and male. Since I was 12 I have got leg hair and since I am 14 I have got chest hair. The hair increased until I was 22 I think. And then I learned to live and accept with it. In the next years I thought the hair growth has terminated. But with 25 I noticed some hair on the shoulders. Now my back and shoulders are full of it. The hair on the back and shoulders are very thick. I think this is because my girlfriend has waxed it several times. So now I tread with electrolysis. But in spite of that I think in the last year it has extremely increased. I assume something with my hormones is wrong. I made a blood test. Here are the results of the relevant values (german units - I hope you come along with it):

DHEAS ug/l: 4.6
TSH basal mU/l: 2.52
fT3 ng/l: 3.08
fT4 ng/l: 11.43
LH U/l: 2.6
FSH U/l: 4.4
Testosteron ng/ml: 2.48

Sorry for my english.
What do you think about these values?

I can’t really comment on the test results. A doctor should be able to tell you if any are elevated or abnormal.

But a lot has to do with the type of food you eat, the type of supplements you may be taking, etc. Do you drink a lot of soft drinks? Do you eat healthy? How is your weight? Do you take any supplements or steroids for working out? Do you take any medication?

Generally, most men develop hair into their late 20s. So waxing didn’t do anything.

For any areas with coarse dense growth, you should consider laser. Read the FAQs below first.

Electrolysis is only needed on hair that’s not coarse and dense. Shoulders and upper arms usually don’t qualify for laser.

Thank you for the answer,

I don’t take any medication and I am not a vegetarian. I eat all kind of food and I usually drink just water. I have a normal weight that hardly changed in the last years. Next week I have an appointment at an endokrinologist (a specialist with hormones).

Laser is not an alternative for me since the results are usually not permanent. Apart from that the hair is not such dense. Now I had two electrolysis (blend) sessions à two hours and I can already see (temporary) results. I’d rather had treated with the thermolysis method since it is faster but the only electrolyst in this city offers only the blend method. On the other hand my skin is very sensitive. So maybe this is the proper method for me. I read so much about laser and even the electrolyst gave me this advice but as I said I don’t think it is permanet.
