I have fine fuzzy blonde hair on the sides of my face that I would love to have permanently removed. However, I have been told that laser hair removal is not an option for me. Any suggestions? Thanks so much
Yal! You need an electrologist! Plain and simple, it’s all you have if you want permanent hair removal.
Yal! You need a skilled electrologist. Plain and simple, it’s all you have to turn to if you want permanent hair removal. Find someone that can see those fine hairs. If they use surgical magnification and quality lighting, you have a better chance for success. The faster modes of electrolysis will serve you well.
I’ve been looking around & doing some research & there’s one product I keep coming across called Meladine, Natural Melanin Enhancer. All the reviews seem positive. Does anyone have any information on this product or has any one tried it? Thanks
The Meladine stuff has been discussed here. Did you run a search? It has not had favorable reviews here on a consumer-driven website, but some posters who own laser spa’s who have something to gain will say that it works.
It appears that you are insistent on getting your blonde hair lased. Is there any reason why you made no comment about pursuing electrolysis as suggested?
I try not to base any opinions I make off one site/blog & I’m new to the whole blogging thing. Never really understood it & not too mention there are soooo many sites out there for this topic its hard to get real answer. I’ve been looking around & different center sites with customer feedback & other blogs as well. Calling centers for information hasn’t gotten me anywhere. As far as electrolysis goes, that’s my last option & I’m trying to find anyway around it because frankly I’m terrified of needles & the though of having to lay there while someone continually pokes me with one for any extended period of time does not settle well with me. I’ve read good things & bad things about the meladine product & am simply trying to gather all the information I can before I pursue any option especially considering the cost of any of these procedures.
I understand. Electrolysis is certainly an effective way to get hair removed. The only downside is that it is time consuming. LASER can zap away hairs in a relatively short period of time.
Regarding meladine products, I would be leary of them. For any reason, you would be putting some chemical on your skin which is supposed to have an effect below the skin (darken the hair follicle). ALSO, it seems to be a lot of work on a questionable procedure for the sake of having LHR when eletrolysis, a proven and effective modality, is available.
We actually don’t use needles, we use hair thin metal probes in order to reach the lower third of the follicle below the skin in order to release enough energy to affect tissue that helps hair to grow. We do not pierce the skin as a needle would, we insert the probe into a natural pocket in the skin that holds and nutures the hair. A needle injects something into the skin, an electrolysis probe does not. With all that said, I understand that people react to the word “needle”, but wanted to express the right balance of preciseness in regard to the statement, “I don’t like needles”.
If I were you, I would forget the product called Meladine and go straight to electrolysis. Don’t settle for the first electrologist unless they come highly recommended. Get many consults. Ask questions. Get sample treatments. Do all this after you spend some time reading the electrolysis forum. Soon you will get an education on what to look for in regard to good electrolysis care. You have no other permanent options. Laser will not work for you. Find a SKILLED electrologist with modern equipment who uses the faster forms of thermolysis. That’s it in a nutshell, but do what your heart tell you!
