blend v shortwave?

just moved away from my old practitioner who did shortwave, so I’m looking for a new one in my area.

Now I’m wondering what the pros and cons for blend/shortwave are? I’m having trouble finding anything in a simple easy to read format with this information <3 thanks!

Shortwave should be suitable for most situations. If your progress has been good, then stick with shortwave however if it has been very slow and if you have waxed, threaded, or tweezed the area excessively and notice that the hairs are very deep, I suggest adding some DC to the treatment (blend or galvanic).
The major appeal of shortwave is the speed at which the tech can work yielding more hair removed in the given appointment time.

It is always difficult to address this type of question, while imparting useful information that the average client will understand. On the one hand, all modalities are perfectly capable of treating any hair successfully. On the other hand, the processes are different, and the learning curve for them is also different, and individual practitioners tend to favor one over others, so what your practitioner is best at delivering is not the same as someone else, and so, what the best modality to use becomes very dependent on the person holding the probe, and sometimes, the machine the person is using. For instance, While some problem hairs are more easily treated in blend, the syncro version of thermolysis/flash on the Apilus Platinum makes it easy to do that same hair without switching to blend, and thus saving precious seconds per hair over the average blend performing electrolysis provider’s treatment time.
