I am back with another question…I bleached the hair on my arms last Sunday and now, almost a week latter I am starting to see a black route on those hairs. Is that growth?!! I haven’t touched these hairs in a very long time, so I thought they were all full grown. I am afraid that the bleaching will stimulate them to get longer and longer. Is this correct?
Does anyone have any comments on this?

no, this is not correct. bleaching is just fine. however, it only lasts up tp 1.5-2 weeks at most. so part of what you’re seeing is the bleach coming off, and the other part is the hair coming out to shed since hair goes through growth stages. have you read about how hair grows yet?
You are seeing growth. Will bleaching stimulate the hair to grow longer and longer? The hair is programed to only grow so long on your arms, so I wouldn’t blame bleach for causing growth.
bleaching doesnt cause them to grow, but yes it does make growing hairs stand out i did try bleaching when i began the electrolysis journey:p
It’s growth and the bleach has nothing to do with this. I regularly bleach my forearms for years. After the root grows out a little bit, it is less noticeable and just blends in with the darker hairs.
One thing I’ve been noticing is almost pimple like symptoms on the bleached area about 3-4 weeks after I bleach. I don’t know why it does this, and why it takes so long for the irritation to start. It is a aggravated hair follicle, I can’t figure it out. Anybody know a good bleach that doesn’t cause irritation?
