About 8 months or maybe even a whole year ago, I bleached the dark hairs on my upper lip with sally hanson facial hair creme bleach. The thing is, it bleached my skin as well as the hairs <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> so I quit using it. I have naturally slightly olive skin, so there is quite a contrast between the bleached skin on my upper lip with no pigment in it, and the unbleached skin of the rest of my face. It looks really horrible and its been really getting me down for the past year or so. Most of the time i feel like a mutant monster from the sewers. Ive been waiting and waiting and waiting for my skin to return to normal but it doesnt, does that mean that its permanent? Everywhere i go, everyone’s skin looks uniform and perfect and mine looks like i have a milk mustache on my upper lip. Im so upset. Has this happened to anyone else? I doubt it, im like the only person in the world that ive seen with a milk mustache…
i wish someone would just end my life now, whats the fun of living if you look like a mutant ;_;
Please see a dermatologist.
There are things that can even your skin tone out. A trip to a dermatologist will cost $50 to $75 and the treatment will likely cost another $50 to $100.
If you choose not to go to a dermatologist, a good skin care spa would cost about as much for a full facial rejuvenation treatment that would even up your skin tone.
When this is all over, you will only have a distant memory of how horrible you felt today.

thank you so much for replying to this thread, youre always posting really helpful, sweet advice for everyone. ill keep that advice in mind for the future because my mom would never take me to the dermatologist for that. i didnt know there were things to even up a person’s skin tone (except i hope its not bleach). that gives me hope. once again thank you so much! love, moth

i’m looking for tips on bleaching. are you dark skinned or maybe a light brown…?
