I went to my electrolysist today and she offers a new anesthetic gel called Betacaine. It claims to work 2 to 3 times faster than it’s competitors. It contains 5% lidocaine. I haven’t tried it myself, because I can stand the pain. Just thought I’d let you know about this new product. I’m not sure if it’s available in the States yet. Pain management is a very individual thing. What works for one won’t work for others. Some need none, some respond to one product, and others can do without nothing less than a blocker shot.
Just like electrologists, you need to get samples, and try as many as you can until you find what works for you.
