Best setting for lightsheer on type II skin

Skin type is not only judged by the color it seems. There is underlying pigment involved when people have certain ethnicities mixed in.

Does she use compression during treatments? Gliding? Both? Neither? Did she press down on some of these areas and not others?

Using correct method in applying the machine (i.e. not just settings set) is very important on this particular machine which is hard to use. Pressing down is important, especially when using gliding (not recommended).

Did you show this to the clinic yet and got their response? Do you have an idea whether they think the machine is malfunctioning?

My parents both have very white skin as well. We are just straight up white tbh. I really just don’t think my skin pigment can explain those burns.

She uses gliding and presses firmly. The thing that blows any theories out of the water is that the same tech did my darker shoulders/back with the same technique at 45J (auto) with no ill-effects the day before. So colour me confused.

They all know I was scolded. I was in there for a while after getting all sorts of treatments and the tech apologizing profusely. It was all white and blistering up. I have no idea whether they think the machine is malfunctioning. They said to go back in and see them to make sure I am ok, so I will prob do that in a day or 2 and have a chat

edit: they did just say it was too powerful for my skin. Even if the machine was malfunctioning there is no way they would let me know I imagine. Language barrier prob prevented me from grilling them too much - that and the fact I just really felt like getting out of there.

couple of shots from the next day. As you can see the red spots are all burns - not the usual red spots around treated hair follicles.

went in to the clinic and they applied some ointment. Asked them about the machine and they said they checked it all and it was fine. I doubt they would tell me otherwise anyway.

Just hope there is no scarring. Be careful with those lasers out there folks

Another thought: do you take any medication? Use anything that could potentially have photosensitive ingredients?

Hey no don’t take any medication. Might be needing some prozac after this though
