Beard removal: is galvanic the safest for skin?

Hi everyone!

I am a 25 year old male and I want to have my beard removed. I have fair skin with thick, coarse dark facial hair. However, I have very sensitive skin and I’m pretty scared about scarring. From what I’ve read, it seems galvanic electrolysis would be the less prone to leaving scars since it doesn’t produce heat on surrounding tissue. Is that correct? I know it’s also the slowest method, but I wouldn’t mind trading speed for safety. There are not many electrologists in my area (Argentina) so that also limits my options (most use blend anyway).

Hola,
The risk of scarring doesn’t depend on the type of current you want to use but on the skills (better to say the lack of skills!) of your electrolysis practicionner.

Both blend and thermolysis method can achieve amazing results between the hands of a good and skilled electrologist.

Hi Adrien, thank you for your answer!
I see what you mean about the operator being more important than the current itself. My only concern is that there are not many electrologists in my area and I don’t have any references about their skills. So I wanted to know which of the three methods was less likely to leave scarring in case the electrologist weren’t that good. Besides my skin is very sensitive so I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to handle.

I agree with Adrien. All forms of electrolysis produce amazing results. Although it’s the experise of the electrologist that produces those results with no skin damage!
