Barely ever shaved, electrolysis more effective?

I gave up on shaving my legs a long time ago, since the shaved hairs looked like blackheads (they’re that thick!). And waxing/any form of epilation creates colonies of ingrown hairs on them.

I sometimes epilate my arms and underarms every once in a while so I can wear short sleeves. I barely have removed hair on my body, so will this effect my hair growth stages? Or not at all? Is electrolysis going to work better/worse/just the same on hairs that haven’t been touched vs. hairs that have?
Thanks~

Electrolysis works on all hairs, virgin and non- virgin. It all about accurately sliding the thin, metal probe to the bottom of the follicle and releasing the right balance of electrical current(s) for the right amount of time so the hair slides out without traction. It is a simply beautiful procedure that works. It has been going strong since 1868.

If you are a good candidate for laser hair reduction, get it for your legs. You can follow up with electrolysis if you want 100% of the hairs gone.

It should work just the same. I had electrolysis in areas that I’ve plucked for many years - the hair were strong and black like wire, with distorted follicles. Personally I felt they disappeared faster, but maybe that’s because they were so memorable and their absence was more keenly felt than that of others?

I’ve the same kind of leg hair. Laser could help if the hair are strong, black and dense as pubic hair against white skin, and if the technician is well trained. The only problem is, one could end up spending quite a bit of money and time before finding out if that’s the case.

If funds are limited it might pay to go straight to electrolysis. I was very impressed by the reduction I saw in legs after just 1 clearance.
