Hi everyone

I was on the forum many years ago. I had laser on my naval pubis line when i was 25 using an Alexandrite (its been a while) I had 7 sessions and have never had the hair regrow.

Now 10 years on I decided Im so over shaving constantly so decided to look in to more laser.

The choices are much more limited in Scotland, UK. I found a few clinics in my nearest big city which is Glasgow. Instead of going with the company I originally used I have chosen an independent as the price difference was massive. I found a company on Groupon and Ive now been for my first session

I am very pale (think Im considered type 2 on Fitzpatrick)
Very dark brown hair naturally

Im having loads of areas done

Upper lip- Fluffy but dark hair
Underarms-Course dark hair needs shaved every other day
Full legs-Coarse dark hair on the bottom, fluffy and dark on upper leg
Bikini-Brazilian extended to peri anal area also

And toes

So wondering what kind of results people have found with similar areas with similar skin/hair type as me.

The laser is Polaris ND Yag and my first session was set at 26

I dont really know anything with regards to setting but Im pretty sure that will make sense to many of you

Hi,

For your upper lip, electrolysis is going to be more suitable. Particularly for facial areas, there is a risk that laser can stimulate more hair growth and if your hairs are fine, the laser can’t target the hairs very well anyway. You have a couple of good options for electrolysis in Scotland - Mairi Hawkes in Oban is excellent http://www.aeclinic.co.uk/. Underarms - I had 6 sessions with a soprano XL laser and received decent results and finished the remaining hairs with electrolysis. I had maybe two or three 5 minute electrolysis sessions and no longer need hair removal in that area.

Legs - I went for electrolysis only and am nearing the end of treatments, just hairs here and there now.

Hi thanks for the response

I have faith in laser as I had it on my stomach and have no hair there now and they hairs were fine also but Im not adverse to trying electrolysis if it doesnt work out
