Ok so my LHR has been not working so well. I’m getting treatment done with the yag laser. I called just now and she said she’s using 18 spot size then she said 10 and 30. 10 and 30 what idk lol. She also said she’s gonna reduce the spot size to 15.
It sounds like they’re using GentleLASE. We need to know whether 10 or 30 are joules vs pulse width. That’s very important.
Largest spot sizes are best. No advantage to reducing.
What areas? Is the hair coarse?
Please keep all your posts in one thread so we can follow.
She said its the gentle yag. That’s apparently all they use. I’ll have to ask her tomorrow what the 10 and 30 mean. I’m getting cheeks, lower arms, lower back, brazilian/bikini, legs, and stomach done. I can say for sure the hair is coarse in the brazilian area. I’m worried since even in that area it’s patchy and doesn’t fully shed.
On GentleYAG, on 15mm, max is 40 joules. 30J is not bad with a 10ms pulse width if that’s what they’re using. But it would be better to use an 18mm spot size (30J is max on that and lowest most effective pulse width is 3ms).
You really shouldn’t touch your face. This can easily result in more growth.
I would only do lower legs and bikini. If you’re not sure the rest is coarse, it probably isn’t. Lower legs and bikini are almost always are.
If shedding is patchy, they may not be overlapping properly and are missing areas. You should ask for a free touchup on anything that is growing as usual at 3 weeks after the treatment as that means it wasn’t affected.
Hello everybody, I am connecting with my question to you to this post if you do not mind. The questions is about the parameters (settings) of LightSheer ET. I am male and had two months ago treatment on my shoulders:
Fluence: 40 J/cm2
Repetition rate: 1.5 Hz
Pulse duration: 30 ms
Few days ago I had again shoulders treatments plus my back with the following treatment:
Fluence: 45 J/cm2
Repetition rate: 1.5 Hz
Pulse duration: 30 ms
Are these parameters ok? I have dark brown/light brown hair, skin rather light, probably skin between type II and III maybe II (hard to say). With above settings completely nothing happens with my skin: I have red spots of course (disappear mostly after 1 – 2 days after), but no burns etc. - very good skin for laser treatment. In eight weeks I am planning next treatment (back and shoulders) with higher parameters:
Fluence: 50 J/cm2
Repetition rate: 1.5 Hz
Pulse duration: 30 ms
Thanks a lot for every suggestions/comments.

Most important question: Is your hair dense and coarse? Laser only works on coarse hair, i.e. the type of hair that leaves a shadow or stubble like bikini or underarms. If that’s not what you have, no settings will work.

Do you experience shedding of all treated hair 3 weeks after each treatment? You should.

Are they using compression?
