Are the settings on GentleYagPro-U high enough?

Hi,

I recently had my 2nd laser hair removal session and I took note of the settings. i’m a type IV skin and this was on the GentleYagPro-U. I feel like the fluence may be too low! The settings were:

  • underarms: 20mm, 13J, 3ms and 2.0Hz
  • brazillian: 24mm, 9J, 3ms and 2.0Hz.

Is anyone able to shed some light?

the 20mm spot size has a fluence range of 5-24J, and the 24mm has a 3-16J range. That would suggest to me that this treatment isn’t particularly strong, but again, it depends on what your skin can handle.

My skin did not have any negative reactions and I didn’t experience much pain. So far shedding is patchy but it might still be progressing.

I’ll ask for higher next time.
