Are my hormones balanced?

I probably started electroylsis about seven weeks ago on my chin area with a moderate amount of hair. It wasnt as dense as a mans but it was course due to waxing it when it was fine and new. It is very noticable so I started having treatments done soon after discovering this site.I currently have one hour treatments a week and I have reached full clearance except for the very fine hair that you cant see unless you looking at it with a magnifying mirror.Iam very happy with the progress and will probably move on to my cheeks were there is dark fine hair,my question is,(finally) that my regrowth or even new hair coming in is very minimal and Ihave not had to trim or shave at all since my third appt,so does this imply that I have balanced hormones or is my hair in the dormant stage?I have had hormonal tests done but the doctor said they were normal even though Ihave every other symptom of PCOS. So will I most likley see it in a few weeks or is seven weeks long enough to have noticed it by now?

Hair grows in cycles and you’re going in very often right now. So you have only killed a portion of your hair. If you stop completely right now, you’ll see more hair come in. It will be new hair in other stages of growth. Treatments last 9-12 months to completely get rid of all hairs in all hair cycles.

Many regular doctors misdiagnose PCOS. If you think you have a lot of symptoms, find a specialist in your area who deals with PCOS on an everyday basis. They will be able to do more thorough testing. Look for an endocrinologist specialist.

It’s impossible to tell so early on whether you actually have PCOS since you will have to have 12 months of treatments to kill all the current hair and wait and see if any NEW hair grows in after a while. That would mean your body is developing NEW hair. It’s too early to judge this at this point.
