I’m getting my upper lip done next week and was wondering how I should apply ELA Max- do I have rub it into the skin or just coat it and let it sit before the appointment? Thanks!
The best way to apply LMX, or Emla is to go over the area with a little Tea Tree Oil (this helps the absorbtion in addition to the other properties of the stuff), then rub in some of the topical anesthetic, and then put on a thick layer of the anesthetic cream, and finally cover it with plastic for at least 30 minutes prior to treatment. Keep it covered until you are actually working in the treatment area for best results.
