Anyone recommend an electrologist in the U.K?

Hi, my name is Max I’m asian with dark, coarse body hair I’m after removing hair from my chest and stomach which is a large area. I am looking for a an electrologist preferably somewhere in Manchester if there is anyone here or I don’t mind travelling not too far.

I want to be able to go to someone who is fast and has good reviews or feedback.

I have a budget of around about 5k to target other areas such as shoulders and back and get a reduction on my leg hair too.

Please if you could help me, I would appreciate it a lot.

I’ve added pictures to get an idea from everyone as to how long it would take to target such an area.

If you want someone in the uk then I would go and see Mairi hawkes in Scotland. She has the best equipment, vision aid and is fast and very reasonably priced. I’m from London and have been flying to see her…as do lots of other from around Europe. If you have large areas you wish to be treated I know she can do long sessions and would be able advise you of a place to stay for a few days whilst you are there. Mairi does post on here so try searching for her…I know it seems a bit extreme to be flying places for electrolysis but professional electrolysis us hard to come by in the uk… I pretty much wasted £500 going local prior to going elsewhere and getting proper treatment. In fairness I’ve not really researched the Manchester area but doubt there will be anyone capable of the kind of speed and work you are asking about that close to you! Good luck

Hey Mark831 thanks for the reply much appreciated.I will look into Mairi for definite. Was wondering how much would I be looking at per hour?

Any other electrologists that could be recommended? Want to keep my options open.

Hello Max,
I am also in Scotland (Scottish Borders - Peebles)
I do not claim to be fast but I use Apilus/Laurier and I aim to kill follicles.
I offer long sessions - 6 to 7 hours per day (with breaks) and several days in a row. (as many as you need)
I charge £30 an hour and I can recommend/book accommodation for you if required.
I am not attempting to poach you from Mairi - just offer you another option!

Hi Max, firstly thank you for your kind words again Mark. Max it is quite difficult to find full time electrologists in the Uk that do large areas like myself and June however they are about. Look at the British institute website you may come across someone in your area. I can recommend an Apilus provider in Manchester she is very good one of her clients comes to me for long sessions, however she is close to retiring and will only do 30 min treatments -could be a starting point for you.
From the photos it would probably take about 30 hours to clear it looks like you have double or triple follicles on your stomach area also the stomach can be quite a tender area to have treated, this can slow treatment down. You will probably need to be aware of pigmentation which can last 3-9 months, do you get pigmentations marks from scratches or pimples this is usually a way of telling if you are going to be prone to it from electrolysis treatment.
Unfortunately I would not be able to treat you at the moment as I’m fully booked until Feb. Hope this is of help
