Anyone know what happened to California electrology Assoc.?

Or at least their website? When I was researching electrology as a career several years ago, I recall they had a website, as the school I was considering was linked from there.

Recently I attempted to return to the site, only to find it was no longer functional. Now the domain doesn’t even come up in search engines. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Anyone know…?

Thanks so much!

Contact details are still on http://www.electrology.com/stateaffiliates.htm
Maybe they’re redoing their website?

Hi pam–

Thank you for the link! I believe you are correct, that they are now updating. A month or so ago, there was no message when clicking on the link…so this is progress. Glad to see it!

Thanks again <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

FYI. The name of this organization is the Electrologist’s Association of California (EAC) and has both Northern (EACNC)and Southern Chapters (EACSC). As far as what’s up with the website, I couldn’t tell you. I didn’t see anything of note in this reagrd in their last newsletter.

Also, the member’s site of the AEA is currently not fully up at this time as the site is being redone.

Joanie

One other question, if I may. Are you certain that it wasn’t the American Electrology Associations website that you linked from?

http://www.electrology.com

I know that the school I attended was linked to their site.

Hi Joanie!

I appreciate your response and information on the California electrology associations!

You know now that you mention it, Joanie–it’s quite possible that I found the school link through the site you mentioned. I frequently surf and do internet research late at night (when I’m kinda’ loopy…lol)and may not be recalling accurately. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Take care and thanks again,

Hi Stacy,

Are you an electrologist? If not are you considering it as a career path? The reason I’m asking is that I notice that you are a So. Cal. gal and if you are considering this, I would highly recommend the school in Long Beach.

Here is the link to their website:
American Institute of Education

Going through the school was a very good experience, even though I had to temporarily relocate to Long Beach from the Bay Area to attend. (Five months away from friends and family!)

All the best,
Joanie <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi Joanie,

How are you today?

Actually, I’m not an electrologist. A few years ago, I had thought about pursuing this field, but at the time didn’t think there was much demand(in my area a few practices closed down and laser clinics opened).

Had I been aware of this board at the time, I would have known better. lol. There’s apparently still a demand given all the posts I see here from people seeking a good electrologist.

Wow–you traveled quite a distance to study! Sorry that you had to leave family and friends for a while, but glad that you feel the effort was worthwhile. I’m surprised there isn’t a school in your area.

Thank you for the great review of the school in Long Beach, Joanie–I do appreciate it. That’s the best feedback, hearing that a former student thinks highly of the program. Should I decide to study electrology, I will definitely go there!

Best,
stacy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

There’s definitely the demand for good electrologists. I have been very busy in my office. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi Lisa–Thank you for the encouragement. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Glad to hear that your practice is doing so well! May I ask how long you’ve been an electrologist?
